The eighth of the "International Ottoman Istanbul Symposium" will be held between 20 – 22 May 2022 at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University Ümraniye Elmalıkent Main Campus. The aim of the symposium, which is about the Ottoman Empire period of Istanbul, is to shed light on the historical, social, cultural and economic development of the city; to determine the conditions under which it turned into an Ottoman city, and to bring together researchers working on Istanbul, which has become a world metropolis today, and to offer an interdisciplinary discussion and sharing platform.
